  October's Child

HE WOULD ALWAYS KNOW

HE WOULD ALWAYS KNOW

Secret roads stay hidden inside smoke rings
As the nudging of dawn woke the bluest sky
His faded denim smile among her favorite things
Her heart now sealed to any passers by

-----------------------------------

Like flakes of pepper, leaves began to fall
Amid a windstream of birds and a yellow kite
She held a recipe for laughter with his phone call
Fragmented things; images amid late night

-----------------------------------

Sun-splashed shadows walked along the shore
Plumes of black hair adorned honey colored faces
A blanket mix of sand dunes; the whitecaps roar
Their fantasyland dreams of charming places

-----------------------------------

On bending knees against cool white sand
Her hourglass thoughts and face aglow
She knew that forever he would be her man
As the sea mist whispered "he will always know"

Il saurait(connaîtrait) toujours
