Days are getting longer
The air is warmer day by day
I am not alone in this world
There are people who love me
There are days when I feel alone
But I have a friend from my past
We went to school together
and he tells me that we were attracted to each other
He actually said that I was the most beautiful girl he had ever met
He was not flirty and stated that he loved his wife
and his daughter was the light if his life.
I have a great admiration for his values.
He had wondered for years what had happened to me.
He shared his memories with me
And we exchanged stories from our past lives.
I am so happy I took the time to contact him
He is my friend, you know sometimes
life offers up some good surprise
And happiness can come from a complement
