Think and Act Mature
The things that once held some value,
No longer is part of my view;
Are now considered as worthless,
Because Jesus Christ is priceless.
Although it is far more than that,
Than a rabbit out of the hat;
For everything else on earth,
Never did have any true worth.
I am much better knowing Christ,
And not let myself be enticed;
It is since Jesus is my Lord,
Everything else just ignored.
For I threw it completely away,
Since I want to trust and obey;
In which it allowed me to gain,
The peace in Christ to attain.
No longer am I feeling grim,
For a relationship in Him;
I too have approval from God,
All because I honor and laud.
Because my faith is based on Christ,
And knowing what was sacrificed;
My faith has power coming back,
For strengthening me where I lack.
So life now gives from what I share,
For His suffering shows His care;
I become like Him in this way,
Confident not to disobey.
