Making the Call
Oh I love the Lord,
For He is my strength;
So loved and adored,
Of enduring length.
The Lord is my rock,
Almighty fortress;
Shepherd of the flock,
Comfort from the stress.
He is my Savior,
His Word is my shield;
Like eagles that soar,
Whence swooped on the field.
Ropes of death snarl,
Destruction whelms me;
As my foes quarrel,
But God helps me see.
I call when distressed,
The Lord hears my cry;
My fears are suppressed,
He is my ally.
For as the earth shakes,
And mountains tremble;
Anger that God makes,
My foes to stumble.
Heaven spreads apart,
As His fiery breath;
Is burning their heart,
And causing their death.
Dark clouds under feet,
Soars on wings of wind;
Righteous He will greet,
Destroy those who sinned.
