I always believed if a love were true
Nothing or no one could come between you
To believe in anyone, that was my error
A dream of love brings trouble and terror
You lose yourself, there's nothing to gain
Betrayal hits hard like a crash in a plane
It shatters and rips you apart, it's true
And nobody can fix the broken bits of you
You can piece it together again once more
But t'will never be as it was before
A dream of love, is just fable and folklore
I was the fool to believe in anything more!
It's a growing malignant anger unheeded
For me now it is just not needed
Metastasized and spidered about
Eaten into from inside out
Futilely searching a cure from the pain
Numbs me cold and hurts my brain
I'm broke without the price to pay
There simply must be another way…
The path is narrow and steep
He rescued me from a dirty dung heap
Filled now with a love so great
Relieved to be rid of all of that hate!
The broken bits of my heart mended
It's a miracle!! My sad story ended!
I stand in Grace and am awed
I'm living proof…There is a GOD!
