THE CALLING SEA

The ocean's calling
Mama come back
The sea's calling
Girl, you don't lack
Anything you had before
Will come again
Because sweet mama
We are friends

The sea my lover
Touches me wild and wanton
The ocean my mother
In my mind haunting
All that was before
All that will be
Calls me to the shore
Of a lifetime of free

Sands of time they roll on
Waves to shore they go on
Mama come on back and play
Remember times of yesterday
Gather strength as water flows
In your face cool water knows

It's not the hot tears that fall
It's not the work that's the call
It's just a spirit deep inside
It's just a life that you will ride
Until your body rolls no more
You will find your soul at my door

Knock knock I will open
Knock knock you'll cope and
Life will go on
In a sea song
Waving saving you today
Come to me and let us play

The ocean's calling
Mama come back
The sea's calling
Girl, you don't lack
Anything you had before
Will come again
Because sweet mama
We are friends
