Remember Me? 7/20/81

Does anyone remember me?
I came back to look to see
Does anyone remember me?
Can anyone recall my name?
Though I was not born nor died in fame
Can anyone recall my name?

I came home to loved ones dear
Just to find no one there…
Not even the house the ground was bare
No one there to remember me
Maybe I wasn't supposed to be…
I searched around I had to see
If anyone remembered me

Time evades me now
Their all gone, tell me how?
Can anyone remember the essence of me?
The things I did, what I used to be
Time has passed and slipped away
A new beginning a new day
Nobody remembers what I had to say
There's no one left to remember me
My sojourns over, I finally see
Yet, I ask, Does anyone remember me?
