Poetic Verses
That Free Time
Its the intention, with each and every invention
To give human beings, some form of alleviation
In the discharging of their many duties
Thus making it less taxing, on the body by saving energies.
With this stress now off, thus having some free time
To fortify, the family unit, would be foremost on the mind
But it seems as though somehow this attention got diverted
Resulting in many families these days,being disjointed.
This time unfortunately is not spent by some in any positive production
Both young and old, seem to congregate before the television
Sitting quite happily, as all types of food go down the throat
The only form of exercise, is the finger changing channels via the remote.
Not doing this together, and experiment on a meal in the kitchen
As it can be obtained well prepared, by again the finger dialing
These can be very tasty, but with diminishing value in nutrition
As this is continued, many of the consumers become rotund.
Many pediatricians, had to discuss this quite thoroughly
Saying that parent are purchasing game, the keep the children so sedentary
Now there are youngsters with heart problem, diabetes and hypertension
Looking as though both ends of the population spectrum, will have a common problem.
Parent too should be responsible, for what is now happening
Yes it understood that what you do is all good and well meaning
There is nothing wrong, in letting run around, fall and play
This will certainly save you some money, for some better day.
The technology is there for our use, but this should be wisely
Don't put all your faith in it, now and then do it manually
Also too go around get some exercise, make it a family program
And where possible find time to relax and grow a garden.
