SHE SAID "I WILL" Crowds that rippled through streets like a river The peel of bells floating over London town, Some insisted on sleeping in the streets for a few nights Others were there just to gaze at her gown. Smiles abounded on everyone's faces Bunting fluttered and balloons waved in the breeze, The air bristled with a sense of excitement And the abbey had been installed with several trees. On her father's arm she appeared confident and steady A stunning dress as she peeked through the veil, Little bridesmaids and pageboys looked adorable With a nine feet train she was ready to set sail. Ever poised and smiling she began to walk down the aisle All the guests strained to catch a fleeting look, Of the young woman who one day will be queen consort Just two small words and history was consigned to the book.
