DANCE UPON THE DEW
Dance upon the dew
As dawn lifts the fog
Of night
And chambers of dream
Slam and they be confined
To a private place.
Twas but yesterday
When you engaged my company:
Promises of life eternal
With all that you may have,
Then gone in a whisper.
Mistake me not,
For I err on caution and
Shun attempts by mere mortals
To be driven away and precluded
Thus to pour my heart
To a lost cause.
