 This Mother's Day

Time has become all she has left
Her bouts many through many slept
She has survived when others thought
This time she'll go, last fight she's fought

Yet not so fast seems just to be
What our maker has said of she
It's not her time but mine to say
So hold to her for one more day

A rollercoaster of ups and downs
Emotions high, in us on ground
Another stay in ICU
Prayers many, avoid adieu

Sitting by her, bedside now mine
Sleeps quietly words hard to find
As stare I do of what's become
Of her I love, mother but one

We go through life taking for granted
What GOD has sowed on Earth planted
Where many things we will forget
Until the day there's nothing left

This mother's day though close we think
We may have been we seem to sink
Efforts, our time with other things
Lost time to spend with them one thing

She who brought you into this world
She who birthed you boy or girl
There is but one, and when they go
They take a part of you in tow

And though these words may just fall short
Of sentiment of heart of sorts
I chose to keep it simple for you
Who still has time, to make up too

Happy Mothers day to you and yours
