WHO WILL SAVE YOU?

Only moments remembered
Spring's turn into September's
You go on there
Away from home my dear
How I pray
You are safe in Afghanistan
Today
Because you'll always be
My baby
God will save you
Because momma's not blue today
Praying you are well
So far away
My last child born
On that September morn
Twenty nine years ago
Does not seem so far away
Because although you're in the Army
You'll always have a mommy
Caring about you
With a mother's love that's true
Want you to know
I love you so.

You are strong
I am weak
I am glad you seek
Another woman's love
Your wife's
Who will see you all your
Long life
And I will go
Still love you always
That's not going to change
So if it gets deranged
Over there
I care
You cannot take momma's tears
A soldier must not have fears
You go on and on
And when I am gone
You'll have this heartune
Song
To remember
I've loved you since September
Throughout all the Falls before
And after
I have reveled in your
Laughter
Wild and free boy
Who gave me hell and joy
Never give up
My little pup
Who's grown into a man
I wish a mother's love you
Understand.
