Christ the Cornerstone
I am laying a cornerstone,
The One picked that was rejected;
Needing to be next to the throne,
So precious but was neglected.
Any person who does believe,
In Him should never be ashamed;
For the gift that they will receive,
It has already been proclaimed.
The honor belongs to all those,
Who believe and chose to make;
Christ their cornerstone although woes,
From the others who do forsake.
A large rock that seems to offend,
Making many people stumble;
They are unable to transcend,
And can never become humble.
The people tripped on the Word,
Since they just could never believe;
Of everything that they heard;
On salvation they will receive.
But you are of a royalty,
A direct line of believers;
Because you have shown loyalty,
And now one of the receivers.
So go build up your salvation,
Using Christ as your cornerstone;
At the time of celebration,
And your place is next to the throne.
