Nothing but God
I often wonder,
Then what should I do;
For if I blunder,
My fears might come true.
I want to do right,
Doing what is just;
Pleasing to your sight,
And gaining your trust.
But I am a man,
Who just loves to stray;
Not follow the plan,
On the path to stay.
Many times a song,
My Way in my head;
Gets me so headstrong,
Go my way instead.
Then within my life,
Something has occurred;
Wind up in some strife,
Had become anchored.
That is when I sought,
Get out of the mess;
To think what was taught,
About how to confess.
Then I want to share,
Why I feel dismayed;
Asking God in prayer,
Since I am afraid.
So He gives a nod,
To make it better;
So I must think God,
Through to the letter.
