Guitar Player

There was a little boy who grew into a man
Who writes the best songs for all the bands

When he was a lad of five we gave him a little guitar
The Beatles had long since met their divide

He strummed and hummed and carried on
Then we gave him a real one

With amplifiers so high the sound reverberated into the sky
Walls shook and we wondered why a guitar and amp we did buy

Strawberry Fields was a must
He played it till I thought  my eardrums would bust

Our son played a Beatles' songfest
When Lennon was laid to rest It helped to release his sorrow and stress

Now grown and a man he is the best player in the land
His name is on labels galore

He writes and produces tunes that makes you happy or sad
and Christ his Lord he glorifies

There was a little boy who grew into a man
Now he is the best guitar player in the land

We give thanks to God always for you,
making mention of you in our prayers
