 My Friends

Contrary to popular belief, friends don't come a dime a dozen
In life there are but few that will merit such respect and admiration

Time may pass before such ties are made, making for a better you
Held in high esteem is the bond forged lasting a lifetime
An Earthly blessing held closer to heart as treasure of flesh and spirit
Bounty unlike and loved, for in them you are at home

They understand more of you than you do of yourself
Here is where acquaintance was yesterday
Where Gold is struck, priceless, precious
A moment of need, an ear to lend, where all is shared

And tears shall fall as rain in loss and celebration at the end of one's days
Support never lacking, always the crutch when needed
GOD made friends special so hold to them as He holds to you, for He heard my heart and made them so

Written with love for Sandra and Vincent Quiles, my sister and brother in ChristůMy friends
