Moma When

I was but a child
you calmed my fears
and when I would fail or fall
you wiped away my tears.

In my awkward years of growth
when I became a growing pain
you disciplined me with love
and didn't go insane.

When I finally became a mom
I understood the sacrifices made
and just what it really took
for my foundation to be laid.
