Poetic Verses
The Care of a Mother
There are some moments now that I will always remember
Those like when you stood firm like the "Rock of Gibraltar"
No matter what tricks, or any sort of mind game I employ
The results were always the same, this game me no joy.
Now I am glad as it can be seen, that many parent of today
Quickly capitulate to their children, letting them get their way
So therefore it takes lots of strength and great determination
As a mother will encounter varying challenges, from their children.
Those occasions on which dad had to make a visit to the school
You came the only mother,no matter what was the rule
Since my day had to work in an are that was far away
I was so proud, you did not disappoint on that day.
That year when my sister and I, both had the flu
You were there as mother and nurse to see us through
And each time be it and ache or fever spike you were by our side
Holding, talking and even rubbing with alcohol until the fever subside
Now looking back, I most certainly with thank do appreciate
Those many role you have to play, for my life's course to take
Such and outpouring of love, caring and forgiving seventy times seven
I believe such a lady the master specifically created in heaven.
