The Golden Candlesticks
An angel who spoke unto me,
Had awoken me from my sleep;
Then asked me of what I did see,
And my eyes then started to peep.
I saw a lamp stand solid gold,
A bowl on top with seven lamps;
That shined so brightly and so bold,
And with seven spouts just like ramps.
There were also two olive trees,
One that was planted on each side;
That had swayed as a gentle breeze,
But remained firm as to abide.
I asked the angel what it meant,
He replied as if I should know;
Then explained of the Savior sent,
The Word of the Lord has to flow.
You will not succeed by the might,
Nor by any power of man;
Rather by power of the light,
Given by God within His plan.
Only through the Holy Spirit,
You obtain power to succeed;
Never from man and His merit,
Which will only produce a weed.
The seven candles are the lands,
That has to be lit with the Word;
The trees show how each one expands,
For the Gospel by all be heard.
