TO OUR MOTHERS
Dedicated to my beautiful mother Alma Jean Tate…and to all mothers on this Mother's Day 2011
Mothers are their children's best friends,
nurturing with love that will never end.
They give their time without remorse,
guiding and keeping us all on course.
Healing our bruises and broken hearts
each phase of life, right from the start.
Holding us tenderly when babes in arms,
then as toddlers keeping us safe from harm.
As teens rebelling, with patience they care
allowing mistakes, but in sympathy they share.
On into adulthood feeling all of our pains
giving and sharing without thought of gain.
And when they grow older we finally see
just what they have been for you and for me.
Yes, mothers are angels to children on earth,
guardians from God sent to love us from birth!
