Here's To You
Your day came and went without
You whom I will not sell out
To any less than was before
To so much more whom I adore
Here's to you who many take
For granted with and not partake
The beauty that spells your name
The cutie that withstands heartfelt pain
Here's to you where mailbox went
Without a card, that makes no sense
On all of days besides birthdays
Alone spent seems it's just that way
Senseless, mindless those who ignored
That always keeps an open door
To those you know who don't have time
If up to me I'd wait on line
Flowers I'd bring and try to sing
A song for you, one's everything
One could want and ever will
I'd stick around making time stand still
You see, it pains me more to know you went
Without dinner or time well spent
Without someone who should be there
To love on you, to show they care
And even though it seems that way
Know this and more my thoughts today
Keep all that you meant to me
Inside this heart, you'll always be
Here's to you, I miss so much
Whose face I wish today to touch
If for a minute with these words
If for a moment your heart I stir
Here's to you, if just today
