Daughters of Mercury
Upon my mind are you and mom
Ahead your trek no greater bond
Will make success an easy task
Along the trail in Sun you'll bask
Her cause has blazed many a road
From state to state for she so chose
To walk the miles so others learn
Of causes great, hers to discern
Woman of age with heart of Gold
Younger still with strength untold
Will blaze a path so others follow
Her lead, her role in life not wallow
Hawaii, Isle, 49th state
Just one more walk upon her plate
Will make this trip and trek achieved
Woman whose heart she wears on sleeve
I wish her well and too the one
She calls daughter, wishful this son
Will pray for them whose feet have wings
Angels on Earth, among other things
Dedicated to Mrs. Alma Jean Tate who I'll always call mom
