 236. Noise
(Inspired by Art From Ashes workshop)

Silence isn't quiet
It's filled with
NOISE
Noise from
My head
Noise from
The street
The tv or my
Ipod
I have to have
It on
To make
Quiet the noise
Of more realities
Than just
This one.
Noise from your
Bleeding heart
Two rows over
So sad
That I am drowning
In the noise
Of your sorrow
And what she told
You that broke
Your heart
And a friendship
That you thought
Would last forever.
Noise from the woman
Sitting beside me
About her day
And the list
That goes on
Forever…
And nervous
Energy
And that
Isn't even
The noise
Of the world
Inside me.
