This past week I finally made the switch
Dial-up was a hindrance in my job search
Phone calls were blocked while I was online
Now I can be reached at home most of the time
Bundled phone services, since I don't have cable TV
Package includes new phone features added for free
Plus I received a discounted price for the first year
Extra internet cost now offset by driving less here
I already appreciate the increased download speed
Taking hours before to see videos now is fast indeed
We all depend on technology too much these days
But the internet can be a positive tool in many ways
God has been teaching me that He always has a way
Even in small things, supplying my needs every day
From reduced credit card bill through points accrued
To lunch with dear friends who greatly care for sure
Monday I see my doctor for my yearly physical exam
Others have already joined in prayer for God's wisdom
As I discuss my options with her for medical disability
Since she is aware of my voice limitations and history
In doing so, I want to follow God's will and plan for me
Seeking His direction and leading, whatever it may be
God can certainly use doctors to assist in those decisions
Only He can open or close doors in this time of transition
Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
