 Chances slipping away
In my head, went over every scenario.
Thoughts are screaming, swimming in stereo.
Why don't you see what we do?
Why do you take a blind eye to what he does to you?

Years keep slipping away, minutes pass day's end.
Pros outweigh the cons, just a friend.
Reshuffle the house of cards surprise her.
Used up all your second chances, older but not wiser.

Beach sands passing through our hands.
Thoughts of remorse enter the mind.
Clouds in the sky are  pushed by the winds.
Why don't you see what we see?
All are like second chances slipping away.
