Anti depressant You can only imagine It just ain't good enough You have no idea what people have to face Anything with a chord ain't music It ain't a guitar lesson Or a piano tutorial Its a virus that wipes out the entire mind Of all goodness within Confidence and low self esteem are your undoing Besides the dreams and nightmares that eat out the heart A prescription can only relieve the symptoms and not the root of all evil within Depression takes time nobody seems to have So little counselors and so many minds to heal All we need is time and compassion We need alot of empathy and nobody seems to understand Some can only try and others they never do The problem gets worse as they run you down They're like cars on human fuel All we need is some space and to cry To have our time to grieve and to drain those emotions We cannot install and anti virus We can only take an anti depressant Which takes so long time to work We cannot uninstall the problem Only work around it Live with it, move on and make something positive out of it Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
