 Sweet Surrender
Heeding the call to return to center;
Releasing my hold on all my rights.
Relinquishing that stubbornness born
From wanting life to unfold my way.
Coming into alignment with reality;
I walk in a state of sweet surrender.
Grasping and running after all I deserve;
Looking only at what this life owes me.
I hear the gentle call from deep within;
My soul seeks union with the moment.
No longer is my gaze held by the prize;
Seeing the blessings of sweet surrender.
Walking forward on life's trail exploring;
Seeking now all that the moment offers.
My heart is open to the gifts of this life;
No longer demanding, only receiving.
Thankful that I now can see in fullness;
Feeling the embrace of sweet surrender.
