 241. Accepting
(Inspired by an affirmation from Art from Ashes)

Today I was
Given permission
And sometimes
Well actually
Every time
That is what it
Takes
For a thing
To be true…
Acceptance,
Then it becomes
Reality.

So just for today
Right now
“I can accept
whatever I am feeling
today.”

Feeling bad about
Not filling out
The paperwork
Worrying about
If the new girl
Is going to still
Like me
Maybe love
Me…
Wondering if
My life partner
Is still coming
Out there somewhere.

Excited for their
Futures and how
My one moment
With them today
Is going to mean
To the timeline
Of their lives
That I can feel
Streaming out
Of them,
Even now…
So much genius
So much potential
And hope.

I want so much for us
Both…
And yet can we be aware
Accept in
This moment how
We are all connected?
In one room
Is everything
And I accept
It all
Whatever
We may bring
To our
Collective futures.
