I woke up this morning to the birds singing
A brand new day with brand new beginnings
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never arrives
For when tomorrow comes it is today in our lives
So one day at a time I'll look for my King
As I feast on His word for revelation it'll bring
Perhaps a new poem will be birthed in my reading
Whatever the case may be it's His kingdom I'm seeking
How I wish I could turn back the hands of time
For more wisdom and knowledge in renewing my mind
Sadly the years have gone by quickly much to my dismay
Since no man is promised tomorrow I'll seek diligently today
Searching His word for enlightment along the way
Setting alone in quietness to hear His voice I'm hoping
With pen in hand a ready writer for a message to relay
Moments that I treasure and long for each passing day
He is the voice of hope that I have come to know
My anchor in life's storm I'll never ever let go
In Him I will trust the lover and keeper of my soul
The regenerator of my spirit in His love I daily grow
Today marks my fourth year anniversary
When He spoke to my heart calling me into the ministry
My precious Lord Jesus at the time I wanted to run
But You spoke to my spirit reassuring me what you've done
My ministry is for You and by You no man called me
You alone being my teacher as I share scripture carefully
Many have turned away though I have shared earnestly
At the end of the day it's only You I long to please
I can only pray someone someday will get through to them
In the meantime the messages you give I'll keep bringing
As well as the songs you put on my heart I'll be singing
To God be the glory for the mysteries you are revealing
My Lord and My God in You alone I will trust
Your word is my comfort I depend on it so much
Through the washing of the word my life You have touched
I pray Lord you daily read my heart for those in prayer I've lifted up
In His will and for His purpose I long to forever be
My soul rejoices in the lovingkindness and mercy given me
As a Mother I know the meaning of what unconditional love is
Yet never in my life have I known a greater love than His
Thank-you Lord for your faithfulness...
You promised never to leave nor forsake us,
I love you so very much!
You never said it would be easy,
but I know it will be worth it

3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
