Memories are worth more than living fools
I remember as a boy,
throwing a plank of wood
into the sea
seeing it drift,
far, far, away

Seeing what was once
no more
gone forever
but alive in my mind

So now, 30yrs on
i recount this tale
so i guess
it must remain?

Hence then, my dilemma
Of throwing you away
knowing that you'll
remain in my memories

For what good
Is a Piece of wood?
Nothing, worthless!
The memory is worth more!

With a broken heart
and a broken soul
It's for the best,
That i say, 'Goodbye dad!'
