There is a place where the trade winds blow
the days are sunny the nights are balmy
a nice get away from the northern snow
Along the beach my love and I walk hand in hand
sharing a cool lemonade
we stop to dance to the music of a distant band
my grass skirt sways with my hips
As Eric Clapton sings 'You Look Wonderful Tonight'
you mimic it with your lips
People walk by with an astonished look on their faces
You would think they had never seen a frog with her mate
We together in our life have visited many different places
The moon wanes high in the sky
to the beach we have to say goodnight
Back we go to our lily pad and a midnight snack of shoo-fly pie
Down where the trade winds blow
there are many stories left untold
From the pen of poets they sometime flow

*shoofly pie
Is a kind of chess pie
A pie the Pennsylvania Dutch made with molasses.
The molasses attracted fly that had to be shooed away
This is where the name "Shoo-fly pie" came from
Music - Eric Clapton - Wonderful tonight
**Eric Clapton is my favorite guitar player after my son Tommy
