'(Gal. 5: 22, 23) (Matt. 13: 10 - 15) There Was A Prosperous Farmer Whose Crops Always Grew Larger Because He Knew Just How To Till Always His Way and His Will And This Skilled, Famous Farmer Had 9 Sweet, Beautiful Daughters The Most Desirable In The Land & Were Dutiful, Dexterous Farmhands ____________________ The Eldest Daughter Was Named Lovey Called Love For Short, Quite Fondly She Was Always Giving Hugs & Smiles You Could See She Had Her Father's Eyes Same Warm, Affectionate Spark That Lovey Had The Largest Heart And Very Practical As She'd Implement Time-Tested Techniques & Equipment And Like Sunshine She'd Early Rise To Make Sure All Got Daily Supplies Like Sorghum-Seed For Every Breed Also The Best Organic Grown Feed The Farmer Gave Love Lots Of Chores Lovey Never Complained, Nor Kept Scores (1 Cor. 13: 1 8) She Made Dry, Packed-Dirt Forgiving Love & Family Made A Blessed Living She Was Such A Darling-Deer Thing And Oh My Could That Lovey Sing! She Worked Hardest Before Harvest To Give Surplus To The Impoverished From The Silo and Stockpiles From Barn Friendship Was Carried In Lovey's Arms And Those Who Partnered With The Farm Never Went Hungry Or Came To Harm Now, Love's Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Pomegranates, Apricots, Plums and Kiwi Radishes, Palm Hearts, Wheat & Celery ____________________ Now, Another Daughter's Name Was "Joy" She Could Cook Delicious Buchoy (bok choi) And Often After A Hard Days Work She'd Serve Gourmet Dishes Up Like An Expert Laughing & Playing Around With Mirth Even If Her Back & Hands Were Hurt She'd Play Her Flute like Water Fountain-Spurts To Her Family, Joy Was Of Great Worth (Even As A Child, She'd Make Them Toys That Was Just That Way Of Joy's!) Now, Joy's Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Strawberries, Figs, Cantaloupes, Bananas Cabbages, Carrots, Rice and Cauliflowers ____________________ The Third Daughter Was Named "Peace" A Quiet One, But Put Anyone At Ease By Her Calm, Generous Nature She Had A Pleasant, Serene Stature She Stayed Focused On Tranquility Crisis, Would Settle Down Immediately She Was Like Comfort Food Of Wine & Cheeses And So Sweet, That We Called Her Peaches So Relaxed, She Could Tame A Beast Yep, That Was Our Girl, Sweet Peace Now, Peace's Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Peaches, Oranges & Tomatoes Peas and Squash and Potatoes ____________________ Another Was "Patience", The 4th Daughter Who Would Always Wait Upon Her Father To See What Work They'd Do Each Day No Matter How Hard or Seeming Delay And No Matter If Come What May Patience Was There & Ready & Okay She Had Her Father's Ways Being "Long-Suffering" Thru Droughts Or Weeds Patience Helped Prune & Water Fine Seeds And Patience's Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Pineapples, Limes and Lemons Olives, Endives , Onions & Lentils ____________________ Then, There Was The Cherished "Kindness" Everyone Appreciated Her Open-Mindedness And Her Open-Handed Readiness To Help Those She Thought Might Be In Anguish Not That She Was A Busybody She Could Just Tell When A Rope Was Knotty She Was Willing To Give Assistance Without Being Gossipy Or Pushy-Insistent So Thoughtful That Everyone Equates Kindness With Being Considerate She's Got Rows & Rows of Pecan Trees She Gathers Extra In Wheelbarrow-Charities Now, Kindness's Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Walnuts, Peanuts, Almonds, Pecans Raisins, Coconuts, Pumpkins, & Yams ____________________ Then There's Gracie Known As "Goodness" Tall In Virtue, Full Of Trueness Genuine In Her Father's Service She Rightly Fulfills The Farmer's Purpose And Always Reaching Expectations Goodness Is Such A Fine Relation Her Integrity Is Without Question Without Goodness, Farm Wouldn't Function Her Produce-Scales Are Balanced & Just To This Family Goodness Is A Must! And Goodness's Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Apples, Pears, Dates, (and Beets) Cucumbers, Lettuce, Corn & Leeks ____________________ Next, Is The Farmer's Daughter "Faith" She Tends To The Least Sprouts Growing Late Her Intense Demeanor Fits The Job For Faith Works Strong, Hard & Sometimes Odd Her Fiery Tresses Blowing In The Breeze Faith Works The Soil, Down On Her Knees Faith Won't Fail She Will Endure Til The Shoot or Sprout or Sprig Matures Faith Has Devotion and Loyalty Faith Works Like A Full-Fledged Army Faith Works Like There's No Overtime Even Farmer Says, "That Daughter Of Mine!" Now, Faith's Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of Papaya, Melons, Cherries & Grapes Asparagus, Okra, Spinach, Mushroom-Steaks And All Yield That Has To Wait & That Mustard Seed That Grew So Great ____________________ Then Came The Daughter Named "Mildness" Her Gentle Manner Is Timeless She Is As Meek As A Little Lamb She Won't Even Let A Door Slam She Is So Easy To Get Along With Everywhere, She Just Seems To Fit It Must Be That Air Of Modesty That Demure Surrender To Humility Her Composure Is As Soft As A Cloud Mildness Might Not Stand Out In A Crowd But You Never Forget Her, Once She's Found I Once Saw Mildness Face A Mad-Bull Down! With An Inner Might That Did Astound! Mildness Knows How To Stand Her Ground Sometimes Without Uttering A Sound Yet, Affably Concede Differences Allowed Mildness Everybody Likes Being Around And Mildness' Tract Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Prunes, Sugar-Cane and Mangoes Zucchini, Chili Pepper & Jalapeρos ____________________ Now, The Last Daughter, The Youngest Was Admirably Disciplined & Honest She Had Things To Prove To Herself She Weighed Her Baskets & Judged None Else Her Duty Was The Home's Garden-Gates To Keep Out Critters That Kept Food Off Plates And Not Let In Or Out, What Can't Be Ate Daily, She'd Pick & Inspect Her Barrels Youngest Girl's Name Was Sally Carol She Took Seriously Her Strict-Patrol Sisters Teased & Termed Her: Ms. "Self Control" But She Earned Their Mutual Respect Guarding Personal Space Without Neglect Now, Self-Control's Patch Of Arable Land Contained All Of This Spirit Valley Span Of: Raspberries, Cranberries & Blueberries Blackberries, Mulberries & Huckleberries Cinnamon, Garlic, Sage & Parsley Cilantro, Chives, Avocadoes & Curry ____________________ Now, Every Evening They Sat To Supper Prepared By Mrs. Jerusalem, Their Mother Presided Over By The Famous Farmer The 9 Sweet Sisters & Their Big Brother They Sat Down At A Veritable Feast They Had Everything There Good To Eat Dairy, Vegetables, Meats and Sweets The Bread Of Life & Spice At Every Seat Cold Water Flowing Crystal Clear Red Wine Poured Unpolluted Pure Conversations That You Gotta' Hear! The Farmer's Family Thanking Him Sincere: For The Cultivation Of The Crops To The Fresh-Air-Acreage Every Plot For Working The Land With Loving Hands & For Knowing All About Farming Amen! For Sharing The Fruitage Of The Field For Getting That Tractor Up That Hill !
