hope for a better day
i have not written a poem for quite some time:
in my life i havent felt much rhyme:
so anyway i will try to write just a little:
just as a carver starts out carving with a little whittle;
or as a painter starts out with a few whisks of the brush:slow and easy in no rush:
who knows what a masterpiece you may create:
who knows what might become your fate:
seems life is the same old same old am surviving the same:
seems no progress made and i feel ashame:
no real progress has been made:
i dont give myself a passing grade:
but i know defeat is not an option;
and soon a brand new month again i can start the run:
the pressures of life can bring us down:
but others have it much worse than i--just take a look around:
your blessings count them all:
when you feel weak do your very best to stand tall:
life is a journey of being up and being down:
it is our choice to try to smile and wipe away that frown:
better days are always on the horizon:
in the morning a new day is begun:
we have to motivate ourselves from within:
live our life hollistically free from sin:
trust in a higher power of god above:
and know the most important thing in life is love:
love for god our family our fellow man and all living things:
when we love all life our heart will sing:
so no matter what dissappointments you will feel:
trust in gods grace and --to thine ownself you shall heal:
in your heart and mind go to god and pray all what you feel:
you will find gods miracles are real:
through every storm:the chaotic will again turn to norm:
the bitter cold will pass:
and soon you are walking barefoot in the summer grass:
i have felt dissappointed in myself:
i havent felt much wealth:
but i know its the little things that mean the most:
than to have great wealth and brag and boast;
if i aquired wealth i think not of what pocessions i want for my own:
but my wealth to others happily i would loan
so i know just to do my best:
and with gods love just rest:
