The only thing bringing comfort anymore
is knowing he waits for me on that shore,
on that heavenly shore i'll smile again
and it will be only then.
I don't want to
keep waking up here but i do,
it's no use for me to stay
and i want to be taken away.
Up in heaven i won't be alone
for there i'll once again be home,
home with my sweetheart
where we'll never be apart.
I can't take another lonely day or night
without him here no strength to fight,
i only have strength for the tears i cry
in his arms i long to lay down and die.
Please pray i'll soon leave this earth
like i pray everyday for all i'm worth,
cause when i take my final sleep
only then any peace i'll keep.
