So many memories fill my mind
Of loved ones and heroes down through time
Wondering what life would be like if they were still here
The emotions run deeply filling my eyes with tears
It is written He knows our beginning and our end
Not for us to question but the loss can at times lead to depression
Especially when a life was taken so quickly and unexpected
So many questions of what if's and was there something neglected
Whatever the case may be it becomes our reality
A heroe or loved one has passed over into eternity
We are blessed by God with the time we were given
To share in their life if but for a time while living
Precious memories are stored in our memory bank
As well as albums of photos to drive down memory lane
Some take us back to perhaps a special day
To relive that moment in time that nobody can take away
Some memories bringing laughter and some bringing tears
For as humans we don't want to let loose of loved ones so dear
But by the grace of God and His strength we'll carry on
Until some sweet day we'll embrace our loved one once more
Tomorrow is not promised to any whether young or old
This is a truth for it is written in His word we've been told
So let us remember all in our prayers each day
Pleading the blood of Jesus and a hedge of protection to stay
The fact is the enemy has come to kill ,steal and destroy
Jesus came to give life more abundantly forever more
Our hearts break when we have to say good-bye
I'm a witness it can be unbearable without Jesus in your life
I have experienced loss being both out of His will and in His will
I tell you the truth in His will the comforter I found to be so real
Oh what grief I could have been spared if back then I had known
But all the glory I now give God for His peace and love shown
For it was Him that gave us the time we would have never had
And it is Him that lets us know we'll see them again when we're sad
It is Him that gives us a peace that surpasses all understanding
And the loved ones that we so cherish wouldn't want to return again
For this life here on earth so pales in comparison
To the new life given that is in God's glorious heaven
For the young,for the old if we could hear their joy would be told
May God bless all the hearts that grieve today ...
while our loved ones He holds until we're reunited some sweet day
God bless our many Heroes and their families
No greater love is there than this...
Than a man lay down his life for a friend..
And many have for the freedom of our country
And then there's their families that sacrifice so much
Denying their own wants and desires of their loved ones
daily presence and touch
Holidays spent without them while we celebrate
God bless you one and all ....
I pray your sacrifice we will none ever forget
