In Light Of
Surrounded by the many things
That causes days, our minds to wring
Like towel twirled, soul seeking rest
Within ourselves thinking senseless
A sigh will bring relief if for a tad
With eyes closed feeling so bad
Remind ourselves if just in thought
Who could instill the peace that's sought?
In light of things beyond our vision
Apparently by our decisions
We lose blessings bestowed this day
By Him, the Truth, the Life and Way
Within our reach if spoken words
Become confession, countless He's heard
Could change the path if we reached out
Asking simply what in us shouts
Time does press along with pain
Bringing to knees, errors our shame
This weight we bare all brought upon
Again ourselves lost and far gone
Today blessings will pour as rain
Upon someone who kept their stains
Unwashed today won't be the same
Calling to Him of several names
JESUS, the one and only
Lifting the broken and the lonely
Above this state their cause His solely
Love unlike, unknown, all His Holy
Think about this day and what's missing
Make a list of all listings
Make note of things on heart insisting
For peace of soul in yours persisting
In light of Him are you this day
In need of CHRIST, ransom yours paid
