What Faith Is?
Faith is assurance of things hoped,
Past tribulations you have coped;
A conviction of things not seen,
Of obstacles that might had been.
By faith we understand the earth,
Created by God with its worth;
And that it is part of a plan,
Which God has for using man.
So what is seen has not been made,
But through Jesus Christ has been paid;
Just as Abraham had once done,
Nearly to sacrifice his son.
For by faith all that we can see,
Has been from the Word to decree;
That we walk by faith what is heard,
Through blessings of the Holy Word.
Without faith no one can please God,
To worship in honor and laud;
If no faith how can God exist?
When in need able to assist.
If no faith then the universe,
Could not be and all things would disperse,
Including the air in each breath,
Would mean for us a certain death.
Maybe we ask the question why,
Things we cannot see with the eye;
But with faith then we can believe,
The unseen things we will receive.
