Shut out the clamor
of small things . . .
Rabindranath Tagore could have warned
me a thousand times.
Yet stubbornness yield
me to fill in the empty spaces
and time
with little things,
I couldn't just kick them off . . .
on the other side,
there's the array of
bougainvilleas . . .
butterflies
Playing around.
There's more to life,
I see.
there's nature,
there's God.
Maybe this is Rabindranath's way
of saying,
commune with infinite beauty and
infinite peace.
