Poetic Verses
Father
Who is this person, no matter what time you see
Will happily climbs upon those strong knees
Despite the condition, no matter how messy, you are in
Will lift you up tickle you, all with a grin.
You could not wait when, there is that voice behind the door
Those little legs take you quickly across the floor
In that little mind, there in no care about any harm
Because you know, that there is waiting a safe arm.
How nice the feeling was being lifted high on those shoulders
This for you will make that day feel , even so much better
Then on the floor, there will be time for that playful romp
And there will be peels of laughter as into that chest you stomp.
How time flew and as you grew, too time out to teach
You, how to swim in the calm water of the local beach
Then was patient, so that you could make a further stride
As you were take on that new bicycle, how to ride.
Time as always seems to go by in such haste, and the time did arrive
When you were elated as it was the day you were taught to drive
As confidence grew thus making you a careful driver
Seats were switched, and the person became the passenger.
Watching, observing your heart always fill with pride, to this date
As all of those doings, you will like to someday emulate
Being a role model, a mentor an adviser and a very good friend
Willing to go that extra mile, every need will attend.
This person,who live by example every doing was a lesson
Was able to meet every situation, with grit and determination
Now as you have observe, participate in will take it a step further
You will now appreciate, that many teachings of your father.
