I don't want
To give up hope
That it's possible
To make a livin'
Doin' what I love.
They say you
Can't make money
With poetry
But I want to
Prove them wrong.
In fact
There are several
Of us who are
Trying to prove
Them wrong.
Truth is
It has come
To this
That anything
Other than
Doin' what I love
Makes me sick.
I just can't swallow
The poison
The lies
Or any of the
Other (~@p
Most people
Can…
I have lost
The constitution
To do it.
It's odd
To become
A symbol
Of hope…
But I've gotta
Try and
Make it…
Yoda is
Screamin' in my head
“Do or do not
There is no TRY.”
There are
So many self-help
Books
Seminars
Tapes
Out there
About
Makin 'it…
But it's my
Experience
That it's
A little more
Complicated than
Those tiny
Black and white words
Make it out to be.
But,
If I can make it
Then you have
Some hope
And believe
That it CAN
Be done
And that is worth
SO much more
Than what
Can be bought
Or paid for.
So I am gunna
Make it for
Both of us
Because this
Is bigger than me,
And it's bigger
Than the two of us,
It's only as big
As all of us,
So if I have
No choice
But to make it
Then I guess
We both have to make it
So I will
So will you
So will we all.
