The Crossroads Of Life
I find myself standing at the crossroads of life
Lived through the fairy tales, good times, and strife
It's like when all the snow finally melts
All is gone nothing is felt
Anger, disappointments, pain, and rage
Feeling confined like a bird in a cage
Blue cloudy skies fade into gray
Like the ancient trees bend and sway
Feels like a ride on a merry-go-round
Perhaps I'll end up in the lost and found
Like slipping and sliding on a downward slope
Sometimes feeling there's no hope or rope
Some things just don't seem to matter anymore
Nothing like they did before an open door
Feeling down in the dumps in a slump today
Too many bumps in the road tears can't wash away
I find myself standing at the crossroads of life head hung down
Oh! rise like the blazing shining sun no need to frown
There's more to this wonderful life in living
Smile laugh there's so much in the joy of giving
