ALONE

Seems like just yesterday when I wasn't alone
Now here I am wandering through the house
And waiting
For a ring on the phone.

Life was so simple when my sweetheart was alive
I never had to wonder and worry at all
I knew the phone would ring
I knew he would always call.

Yes, the love for this man
Lingers on in my heart
He never forgot me
Until death did we part
