Summer's Calling
Mud pies, sandcastles, sunshine
In abundant supply, waves lapping
Pail and bucket, children laughing
The making of a wonderful day
Umbrella stationed, a blanket spread
Straw hat sits atop each head
Sunglasses perched upon every nose
Sand squishes between small toes
Sunscreen applied, noodles provided
Popsicles packed on ice, peanut
Butter and jelly sandwich's, all
The making of a fun summers day.
