ONCE MORE IT'S THE 12TH OF JUNE

It seems it's been forever
Since you have gone away.
At other times it seems as though
It happened yesterday.

Time's been at a stand still...
One day nods to the next.
All the carefree nights I've known
Seem crossed out with an x

These last two years were lonely...
There is no use to pretend.
I'm still lost without you...
I so miss my best friend.

I hope I don't sound selfish,
Too unbalanced or unkind,
But when two hearts once beat as one...
One heart feels left behind.

Separation's never easy
But life assigns what's meant to be.
Knowing we'll be joined again
Is the thought that comforts me.

We were blessed to find each other...
Blessed to share the time we had.
Our children were contented
With our roles as mom and dad.

Some say true love never dies...
That soul mates never part.
All I know is I'm still yours
And you're still my sweetheart.

Marriage as we've known it
May never ever be the same...
But there will be a love connection
Because we're joined in Jesus'Name.

I believe we'll explore Heaven
Just exactly as we planned...
Strolling down those streets of gold
Together...hand in hand.

Darling, once more it's the 12th of June...
Such a solemn day for me.
I had to give you up to God
But I still hold your memory.
