Faith Directed Lives
Faith assures us what to expect,
Persuades what we do not reject;
Even of things we cannot see,
But we know that it has to be.
Because of faith God did accept,
Our ancestors that they kept;
The peace and hope that was given,
Unto them from up in Heaven.
Faith knows God created the world,
And that His plan has been unfurled;
Just as belief in what we heard,
Truly comes to us from His Word.
This means what can be seen was made,
There is nothing to be afraid;
Of something that cannot be seen,
That is now and has always been.
Without faith no one can please God,
For no belief makes your faith flawed;
And if you have no faith where is hope,
In being there when you must cope.
To go to God He must exist,
Or how could He ever assist;
Into thin air that you will speak,
With no reward from what you seek.
Faith is the assurance of things,
For the foundation that hope clings;
A conviction of things not found,
To be visible or with sound.
