 What Happened To That Memorial Day
by: Sarah Gamutan

in a lonely winter night
a man lays at his bed
he knows he is long gone
he is long gone
his head betwixt his
twisted shoulders

he's got to rest
he's got to smile
he has made his wife
cheer with red roses
sent his son to school
strolled with dog at
the city park

he's again long gone
lost his soul
life he took his
let it be
let him be
let him die
