Human Juke Boxes...

Well their big time Singers they got tar stained fingers and they sing everybody else's songs.
They sing about beauty and they sing about truth and sometimes they sing to long.
They get all kind of thrills with their voice that shrills for Two hundred fifty dollars a show.
But it's a thrill that will getcha when you get that Pitcher from the waitress with a smile that glows.
Cover Bands Oh God you got to love them.
Cover bands there's way too many of them.
They come in early and set up to play hoping they will fill the bar,
but after a few songs and too many Beers some times they go to far.
I've seen some cover bands that joined a few hands, but the thing you will never see,
is the standing ovations the singers got that did those songs originally.
Cover bands Oh God you got to love them.
Cover bands there's way to many of them.
They can play their sessions till their fingers bleed,
hoping one day they'll succeed.
But the only way to play and leave something that'll stay,
is to do your own songs your own way.
