We come and we go...
We come and we go -
leave a shadow of why -
a flicker of how
and a sense of a sigh...
We scatter our wares -
fill up the stage -
explode into words
and light up the page...
We hit and we miss
with lines - big and small -
a shot or a flourish -
a rise or a fall...
We highlight and hurl -
excite and deploy -
we tempt and we tease
and sometimes annoy...
We give and we take
in a rhythm that's strong -
then dance into time
when the party goes wrong...
