Missing You On Father's Day
Father's Day has arrived Grandad,
It's yet another without you here,
Time flies past so quickly,
I cannot believe it's been nearly two years.
It's a day where dads are celebrated,
Where Grandad's are praised and honored too,
And even though we face the day in your absence,
It no way means we will forget about you.
For in our hearts we hold you,
True and close and dear,
Even though a photo is the only way to see you,
Your soul remains alive and clear.
Your sense of humour lives in all of us,
We still smirk when we remember old days,
The little things you used to find funny,
Will stay with us forever, always.
So when tomorrow starts without you,
And you're not here to see,
I'll remember you with a proud smile,
And remember how much you mean to me!
Sleep tight and safe in Heaven,
Where you and Nana remain together,
I'll be missing you on Father's Day tomorrow,
And also everyday that comes round, forever!
