Padre Celestial
Above all others you are first
No need to offer gift boxed ties
or cologne
Your ties are your children and the
scent is of peace, if we would breathe
Today many celebrate an earthly holiday
and I wonder how many acknowledge the father
of fathers
Though many will mourn one, they should
find comfort knowing they are with you now
Today a simple thanks is all that is needed
yet you do not ask, how ungrateful we
have become
Father, in your name we ask forgiveness and
give thanks to thee, creator of all
With this a mortals embrace, a simple gift
is all I have to offer
I pray that others will praise your name
this day
There is no one like you, and shall never be
Touch those that do not know better and bless
them this day to come and do so
Today I shall inhale the promise of Heaven
and harvest what is yours to share
My cup runneth over, pouring your name upon
others yet to be cleansed by your blood
For eternal you are, Padre Celestial
For your Kingdom comes and mans will end
Happy Fathers day, my Lord
